Though you are as black as night, and as hideous as Hell!

1 John 1:7, “The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin.”

Oh that blessed word all. It includes:

willful sins and unintentional sins,
故意的罪和无意的罪，
sins against gospel light,
违背福音之光的罪，
sins against the love of God,
违背上帝之爱的罪，
sins wantonly perpetrated,
肆意妄为的罪，
sins against man and against God,
得罪人和得罪上帝的罪，
sins of body and of soul,
身体和灵魂的罪，
sins of thought and word and deed,
思想、言语和行为的罪，
sins of every rank and character,
各种等级和性质的罪，
sins as immense as the sea
如海洋般广大的罪
–all, all are removed, no matter how many, or how vile they are!

What comfort there is here for every believer! However heinous your sins may be, there is a sin-offering which cleanses away every sin. However you may have defiled yourselves, though you are as black as night, and as hideous as Hell–yet there is power in the sin-atoning blood of the incarnate God to make you as white as newly-fallen snow!
这对每个信徒来说是何等的安慰！无论你的罪多么深重，都有赎罪祭来洗净每一个罪。无论你如何玷污了自己，即使你漆黑如夜，丑陋如地狱–道成肉身的上帝的赎罪宝血有能力使你变得像新落的雪一样洁白！

for His sake accepted;

for His sake beloved;

for His sake delighted in;

The immaculate Christ has died, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God.
无瑕的基督已经死了，义的代替不义的，为要引我们到神面前。
Washed once in the fountain opened for sin and for impurity–there shall remain upon you no trace of guilt!
在为罪与污秽所开的泉源中一次洗净–罪疚将不在你身上留下任何痕迹！
